New American Cursive - Penmanship Contest

New American Cursive Penmanship Contest

Entry Deadline: April 10th

Encourage your students to enter the NAC Penmanship contest. The excitement of the contest can be a great incentive for students to practice their best handwriting.

Each entry needs to be written on 8 ½ x 11 white paper, lined or unlined, or use one of the reproducible pages in the back of the NAC workbook.  The sample can be written with either  pen or pencil. Philippians 4:8 or The Pledge of Allegiance can be used (but not required) for the handwriting sample.

Three handwriting specialists will judge the entries submitted.  They will score the cursive entries on legibility, neatness, shape, slant, spacing, size, spelling and accuracy.  Entries will be judged by grade level. There will be a girl and boy winner from each grade.
